Rainbow over the minicipality

Tram "superstops" are a travesty, with awards for bad design.

Whenever I wait at the Collins Street tram stop at Swanston Street, especially in the rain, I look at this plaque and wonder at its stupidity.  The "superstop" provides no cover from the rain or sun.  Why didn't they make the little roof higher, and make it reach over the trams?  As for the aesthetics, it is industrial minimalism that prepares passengers to be like cattle in a truck.
